A7x isn't by any means emo. The way they dressed in their younger days, was punk not emo. Secondly A7X has even came out and said they're not a metal band.

ok im not a fucking emo kid, im a metal kid.  my favorite bands have always been classic metal bands.  megadeth iron maiden pantera that shit.  i represent real metal.  im in a real metal band.  ozark twelve gauge is our name, it's legit.  regardless avenged sevenfold is badass band with a lot of talent and they're going to replace Metallica as the all time best.  Avenged sevenfold sold over 1,200,000 copies in the first week of waking the fallen and every album since then has doubled.  Hail to the King just put them on top of the world.  They're so mainstream popular that everybody likes them from scene chicks to hard metal heads to people who don't even like music and just listen to the radio.  Plus they're only 30 years old, they're gonna keep going till they're old and surpass Metallica on the alltime records sold list.  And the truth of the matter is every album past the black album sucked and Metallica is one of the most overrated bands out there and they're really not that great.

I like both Metallica and A7X, and these two songs are most definitely in my top 20. I first heard This Means War and heard the similarities, but the whole album is a tribute to Metallica, so I thought it was really cool! Don't hate guys, appreciate the godly combination of two awesome songs!
