In memorium of Ralph Rainger (1901 - 1942)
This is the first hit song for the prolific composer who's life was cut short by a most unfortunate plane crash in 1942. Ralph went on from this tune to team up with several talents in his writing career, and composed famous melodies for the likes of Jack Benny and Bob Hope before his untimely death.
Written for "The Little Show", this sultry tune brought Ralph great recognition and launched his writing career in a big way.
Here is his song played nicely on an Atlas piano roll by Joseph Fecher, and it is a great arrangement indeed.
Enjoy my 1925 Duo Art Pianola as it renders this great show tune.
