i don't think they were trying to impress people, well they may have been i don't know but this is just how they acted live, in the mars volta they would dance and fuck around even more than this, but ATDI was never the best live band at all. they were the type of band you'd go to see because their live shows and stage presence was insane not because the music was good lol and i'm sure that most of them being drug addicts during this time didn't help them play better.

Trying so hard to impress people with their stage personas that they forget about making the song actually enjoyable to listen to. They can do whatever the fuck they want on stage but seeing pricks jumping around pretending to go apeshit and not pretending to fuck up their parts is not the best aspect of ATDI. Shame, great song.
