Astronautalis is Andy Bothwell. He started in music over 15 years ago as a battle rapper, eventually moving into hip-hop and shoegazer-inspired indie rock while hopping through Minneapolis, Seattle, Dallas, and Jacksonville Beach, FL. His latest release, "This Is Our Science" was created under the guidance of Grammy nominated producer John Congleton (Modest Mouse, Bill Callahan, St. Vincent) and features contributions from some of indie hip-hop's finest.
