On this day in 1962 {March 14th} Arthur Alexander performed "You Better Move On" on the ABC-TV program 'American Bandstand'...At the time the song was at #49 on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; and thirty-two days later on April 15th, 1962 it would peak at #24 for one week...He had three other Top 100 records; "Where Have You Been (All My Life)" {#58 in 1962}, "Anna* (Go to Him)" {#68 in 1962}, and "Every Day I Have to Cry some" {#45 in 1975}...Arthur Alexander passed away on June 9th, 1993 at the young age of 53...May he R.I.P.* In 1963 "Anna" was covered by the Beatles in their debut album 'Please Please Me'...

Willie DeVille did a great cover of this tune. Both of them have gone on now. The Stones tried to cover this (tried).
