Arms that Hold the universe

All of us experienced losses at some point in our life and suffered pain. We lose some things we own, jobs that give us pride; death of a love-one, losing a still unborn baby, friendships that brings us laughter and joyous tears, relationship with someone whom we thought we could spend the rest of our life with.

In some of these losses, pain starts when we learn that we are about to lose it. We try to hold on, and this holding-on is what I consider the hardest moment. This is the moment when we cannot hear even the sincerest encouragement of our friends and love-ones. All we know is it is so painful we just can't let go.

During this moment though, it is re-assuring to know that we are being held tightly and is being sustained by a God who holds the universe, no matter how dark it is, be assured that He is holding us and will never let us go. Be still and know He's in control.
