Both are uber talented. All I can say is both of riffs and runs slay, Tamar's lower register is stronger, Tamar has more soul, but that's Ariana versus literally any other black female singer, so stop reaching y'all lol they both have a lot of ease in their upper registers so it's about equal there. As far as overall artist, Ariana has that IT factor, which Tamar lacks. You can obviously see that because of look where Ariana is at in her career and look at where Tamar is. (That's why both of there albums came out on the same day and Ariana debuted at #1) #noshade

There's a little bit of similarity of the both when there high notes strikes! But I admit ariana grande has the unique voice her voice is more better to listen because it is soft and still at her raw range of her voice at her young age she can develop vibrato and more styles she is used to sing pop song.....her voice at classic or broadways sometimes cant be compatible because of get used of singing pop songs#ariana grande....

I think People should cut Ariana some slack I feel like allot of the people commenting are coming from a place of hate towards her as a person not as a vocalist Cuz first of all it's a comparison between a 20 year old and a 37 year oldI do think That Ariana's Voice Below Eb5 is bland But She Really Killed it with Her F#5's And I Like Her G#5's a little more then Tamar'sBut As for an all in all vocalist I'm definitely choosing Tamar for the win Tamar's lower register is definitely better then Ariana's Tamar's Head Register is way more stronger "And Yes I know Tamar's HV is disconnected but so is Ariana's So They're equal in that aspect" But as for the sound it Tamar is way more pleasantAnd As For The Belts They do have some similarities in that region So I'd say they were head to head there with Tamar having the upper hand :)

Ariana Grande isn't original - when i hear i her sing i instantly think of others singers she reminds me of, a younger Mariah for e.g. But Tamar, you know instantly who is singing. Her tone is impeccable, and the passion behind her voice is real. On every single level, Tamar is the superior vocalist/artist.

If I had a choice though, I'd prefer to sing like Tamar. The thinner voice is apparently the more desired & impressive voice according to industry standards, in many genres(likely due to the assumption of control & purity of notes). But I like a slightly heavier & deeper voice. A middle ground, between a Toni & Mariah. So we get a Tamar :D
