I think this song talks about the typical stage in relationships when things start to get more serious. At first it's all jokes and laughter but as things move forward you have to start committing to everyday situations and it is usually one person who moves faster than the other (most of times the girl) and she feels very frustrated that the guy just wants the fun part of the relationship and not the whole thing. But it is also hard on the guy because he sees things different and a bit slower so its not like he doesn't care but he doesn't know how to deal with the new situations. Most relationships break at this point because there isn't enough tolerance and understanding and the lack of communication turns into anger

@Eriakata Well, you CAN say "Am I not?" but "aren't I?" it just said more often. "I'm in trouble again, am I not?" would be more common in older English. "Aren't I" is basically a modern version of "am I not." Hope that made sense.

@Laurabug123 but you use Aren't because you can't put Am in negative?

Laurabug123

@Eriakata Are you asking what it means by "I'm in trouble again, aren't I?" means...? Kind of like "I'm in trouble, right?" or something like that...
