Ok, guitarists, I think DrSlide's tuning was wrong. This totally sounds like a banjo tune! Banjo tuning for guitar would be (starting with the low string) DGDGBD. Now comes the hard part - figuring it out. I should just look and see if the tablature is online somewhere!

Ooh - nice! Like wryteplai (above), I wish the video showed his hands on the guitar. I guess I'll just have to tune my guitar to DADGAD and try to figure it out by ear. I *really* like the way he plays it!

I saw him only once, years ago in Toronto with Garnet Rogers as a sideman, and was blown away, as was my mum. She'd heard the records, and *insisted* on coming. This piece, thought, has the hair on the back of my neck standing up - not a common event these days.
