Arch Enemy - Bury Me An Angel

Album: Black Earth

Symbolical and mystical

Between life and death we're torn

A constant struggle

Like an apocrypha

Nobody can be certain

A thousand days, spent in hell

The ultimate sacrifice

Your voyage starts

With a question mark

But the distant future

Will not tell

Bury me an angel

Set my black soul free!!

Blackened chariots

Bearing evil souls

Ride the surface of burning holes

Nocturnal... traveller

You represent the ruined spirit

Symbolical and mystical

You shall be damned for all time

I know, I know I'm going to get blasted for saying this but when he started to sing, I thought he sounded a lot like Corey Taylor does in Slipknot. Or that Corey sounds like this, really. (Not a Slipknot fan by any means but the similarity caught my ear)

I didn't know Albert Wesker was a vocalist in Arch Enemy :P Seriously, Johan Liiva belongs to Arch Enemy, Liiva-era Arch Enemy was awesome, unbeatable, imo :)

This is the *Arch Enemy's first video* which has been an unexpected hit on Japanese MTV Rocks! This video's response can be considered the main reason *Arch Enemy took it seriously and continued* (at the beginning Arch Enemy was made just as an one album project.)*Band members* for the album Black Earth (1996):Vocals, bass: Johan LiivaLead guitar: Michael AmottLead guitar: Christopher AmottDrums: Daniel Erlandsson*Bury Me An Angel* Lyrics:Symbolical and mysticalBetween life and death we're tornA constant struggleLike an apocryphaNobody can be certainA thousand days, spent in hellThe ultimate sacrificeYour voyage startsWith a question markBut the distant futureWill not tellBury me an angelSet my black soul free!!Blackened chariotsBearing evil soulsRide the surface of burning holesNocturnal... travellerYou represent the ruined spiritSymbolical and mysticalYou shall be damned for all time

I didn't like Johan Liiva a long time ago when I was in High School, but it's funny cuz now I like him more than Angela. The music is better too. Although I do still like Angela's earlier albums. Doomsday Machine is pretty solid. But Black Earth and Stigmata are AWESOME. If you like Heartwork by Carcass at all then you should like this stuff!

This sounds rather low budget. New arch enemy is much better.

At least back then they had some melody. Now they lost all Rhytm and are just using attractive women to sell albums.
