This is the song Lift and its Intro by the Progressive Rock band, Apex Theory. I couldn't find it on youtube, so I uploaded this. This is from their demo, Inthatskyissomethingwatching, from the early 2000's if anyone knows the year please tell me. Enjoy :)

no dude, still Apex Theory. The Mt. Helium name change happened ~2008, they only released "Faces" CD under the name Mt. Helium. This album was released after their Dreamworks release "Topsy Turvy" (as they were dropped from major label when Ontonik departed) and it was recorded independently in 2004. Not really a demo either, just DIY by Art, Sammy and Dave. They released "Lightpost" in 2007 as Apex Theory still.

@SpursCards311 They technically didn't change their name at this point...they still released the Lightpost album under the name Apex Theory. I believe in late 2007/ early 2008 is when they changed their myspace to "Toys of the Masses" which then had a link to the new Mt. Helium page...both of which are still up. They are no doubt my favorite band of the 2000's decade : )

@SpursCards311 interesting, I don't want to disagree with you but can you verify this? I actually own the CD and it doesn't say Mt. Helium anywhere on it.

this is actually early Mt. Helium, recorded after they no longer were Apex Theory. Mt. Helium is the original Lineup of Apex Theory minus the original singer. The guitar player sings now. This song is one of their first with the new three piece lineup.

@ecinnian sadly, I'm glad somebody appreciates their early styles. I heard of them cuz my mom knew one of the people in the band's mom's hahaha this was back when they were first getting out of the garage band stage.

all songs in this release are some much different from their later work and that is a shame! I guess their vocalist was different back then, yet it is still not just the vocals, the whole music here is what I would define as almost perfect ..
