I remember buying this LP when I was like 15 or so, I pull the record out I was so amused at the inner sleeve pics of Ant labeled "UM" and "AARGH". Anyway, this album is a brilliant piece of work. Everything from the songs, the music to the artwork and packaging, is picture perfect. Just total genius. No wonder him leaving Genesis was the closest in their history they ever came to disbanding.

This was inspired from a conversation with the bassist John G Perry. John had recorded an album (Sunset Wading) after an invitation from executives. However, it didn't get released for some 20+ years; the masters got shelved after an A&R exec told him 'it's fantastic - it's much too good for the people..' As it goes, the album isn't bad, but not fantastic, but Ant's song is one of the best recorded on the subject of the industry.. it was like that in the mid 70s, and has done little but decline

Got this on CD. Talk about difficult! So who needs Rulolf Steiner-the founder of the German 'religion" of Anthroposophism- whatever that is?

I have this on vinyl somewhere in the basement of a friend I'll never see again! Can you post "Nightmare"?

@Aspartamebraintumor Because it sounds a little like Alan Parsons. That's not necessarily a bad thing though.

Totally awesome.. I'm gonna set up my old vinyl machinery and play all these Anthony Phillips albums again... What doesn't come across here is the quality of the recordings, I remember them as being totally top notch. Wow thanks! I was just surfing and look whats here now.. you do the world a favour by sharing.
