Infinity thumbs up to this! The Angel debut album was my favorite album in 1976 and I had to listen to it every day! The Tower was my favorite song from the album too! Frank Dimino was easily as good a singer as Freddie Mercury and Steven Tyler. Their follow up albums left much to be desired, but their 1st album is part of my top 20 all time favorite albums, which is saying a lot!

There's a increasing interest in these guys again as of late, get the lp's while you can. This was playing at the Bruins/Lightning,last game of the season through the arena PA just before a face-off,I thought I was hearing things…kinda unmistakable though...

I am in production mode, organization time. Angel makes this work a bit easier, at least on my ears, ha Enjoy G+ friends. I find this song amazing. Live it was a mind blower.

Wonder if Steve Harris was somehow inspired by the Angel head to do Eddie the Head? Hmmmm....

I found a cassette of the first Angel album in the street while riding my bike in '78 or '79, I was 14. Played at my friends house and we both loved it. Even my hick cousin from Florida liked it. We never knew what they looked like, there was no cover insert on the cassette I found. I since got into punk, post-punk, underground, but to this day, these tracks are still on my never ending playlist.

this song should go down in rock history for kick ass. saw these guys in binghamton NY in 70's. The Lead singer had a 13" sausage tube down his leg....was great...ha

I heard an interview where Phil Collins mentioned that Spinal Tap was based on Peter Gabriel getting stuck and tangled up on his very elaborate costumes and props. Watch The Lamb Dies Down on Broadway to see how that could have inspired Tap. I think these guys and the The York Dolls also were an influence :)

I saw them live and loved it :) Now I wonder if this is partly where the Spinal Tap idea originated :(

I'd kill for that hair........Wore this album out on my Pioneer turn-table. Saw them 4 times. They should have been WAY bigger than they were. Loved the Ambigram ANGEL logo. Dang, Im getting old.
