Angel Corpse was ahead of their time. No one got it at all. It was a cross between Black Metal, Death Metal singing lyrics about war and destruction. They didn't know how to market this band. They came at a time when hardcore was borrowing so much from metal that you couldn't tell the difference anymore. Something had to happen. Angel Corpse came and saved metal when it got too clean. Too contrived. Too predictable. And their music and message is still relevant to this day.10 years ago
