as far as overhead microphones i would either get a pair of blue dragonfly or a pair of akg 414 XL 2 . for the kick drum i would get an audix D6. for your snare a shure sm57 is always a good choice you could also use it for your toms but i personally like sennheiser md421's hope this helps10 years ago
