In 2014 we're going to release our final record and tour the world one more time. We don't want to fade out. We want to end with hugs and celebrate the life that was Anberlin and not be bummed about us ending.

Thank you for the music. It's terribly sad to experience a band that by all accounts is a good band...through your actions and intentions. Many bands have profoundly moved me, but your behavior and message was meaningful. I read up on the possible Christianity connection, would I love for it to be true in some capacity - sure. Do I believe whether you all truly to live inspired in some capacity by Gods word - definitely, but regardless I know he had to be a part of your lives at some point even if he isn't now. Regardless, it seems like you lived humble lives in spite your incredible gift. In spite being labeled in this genre or that and shared some commonality to your contemporaries, your voice (both literally and figuratively), demeanor, incredible virtuosity, and message made you different. Stand out in a good way and that's all you could hope for. With any kind of fame comes, regardless of you like it or not...ask for it or not, comes influence and its my conclusion you have been responsible with that weight you bore. God bless. I loved your music. My introduction was so subtle and wasn't influenced by youtube, radio, MTV or anything like that. I heard one song. It stuck. I'm 43 and none of my friends were listening to you. I sought your music out. I explored it and engrossed myself in it purely because your sterling and impeccable uniqueness. 'Lost Songs' is one of the most amazing collection of songs. All your albums were outstanding. But I started out gushing about you as people first because when I read some things that reflected exemplary character it simply galvanized my admiration for your band. I wish you the best. It's sad it's over. I hope you the nothing but love and happiness. Of and none of your fans would mind if you decided the muse wouldn't rest and you decided to come back;)

It's a bummer for me though. I found you guys a month ago and just learned of this. :'/ meh. Though I'll never get to see you live, you've become one of my favorite bands. Your music is so unique, and your outlook on life is so beautiful. I've fallen in love with your lyrics, with your sound, but most of all, the heart you can feel beating in your music. Anberlin will live forever. You've made something truly amazing. You guys should be proud of yourselves. Just thought you should know :)

I was just at one of their final concerts (Newport Music Hall, Columbus, Ohio) and it was just amazing. The entire concert was moving and they played songs from just about every album. I'm not a singer, and I'm afraid to sing in church because someone might hear me, but during that concert, I lost my voice, singing the lyrics I knew so well, the lyrics that meant so much to me. It truly is sad to see you go, but I completely understand your reason. Thanks for coming this far, and for changing the lives of so many. P.S. If Anberlin hasn't come to your area yet for that concert, please go. You definitely won't regret it.

I've always wanted to see them live but I can't afford the ticket here in the Philippines. It's too expensive. I was kinda hoping that I'd see them when I have a job and I can finally earn my own money to buy tickets for their shows. But I'm just too sad to find out that they really are breaking up :( I hope this is not real!! I really don't want to believe this!!!

I saw yall this Saturday for the first and last time, and got the tickets for my 20th birthday. 1) the performance brought me to tears. so, that was awesome. and 2) thank you guys for doing your music and being great guys in general. I know I don't just speak for myself when I say y'all's music has made me question and explore big life ideas and grow as a person. You played the soundtrack of my youth. Yall helped me get through some of the toughest parts of my life; I myself am perusing a life as a visual artist and your music is one of my main influences and inspirations. so, in a nutshell, Thank You.

Really bummed about this but I guess this is the best way to go. Sure they've been fading a bit since New Surrender but ending it like this makes a comback or temporary reunion way more possible :) I've been listening to their awesome sound for ten years and I fell in love with the band thanks to Adelaide and *fin, and I still remember what I did and where I were when I listened to Adelaide the first time. So many great songs and so many awesome memories; the latest being when I saw them live here in Sweden just a week ago. Man, that was insanely good. They belong on a stage. Love from Sweden.

I just found you guys since I'm a huge Yellowcard fan and since your drummer is helping them out on their latest album. I decided to see if he was worthy of playing with Yellowcard and, well...you guys shot up to be my 2nd favorite band. And then I come here and see this video that you're stopping after the next album. I may be a new fan, but I'll definitely be bummed about you stopping. You make some great music.

Unexpected, but a really good move ! It's always better to end it while you still can in a good way than fading out and being remembered for what you used to be !

I'm happy for them though, going out on top and on their terms. Not every band can do that either.

As far as I can tell, Anberlin is everything a great band should be. They're kind, humble, they do it for the love of the music and their fans rather than the money. They never sold out. They have a unique sound that's evolved over their career but never lost what makes them 'them.' They have great, meaningful lyrics and sound as great in person as they do on an album. Truly great bands like Anberlin don't come along every day and I know I will miss them greatly.
