The for and against folks...perhaps she did this version for *gasp* fun!? I love to sing songs and change them up a bit. Amanda looks like she's just enjoying herself singing and playing. I personally enjoyed this version and enjoy Del Rey's version as well.

I feel so conflicted because I like Amanda Palmer's social media persona. But she is so far off target here. The Lana Del Ray video is clearly a satire of the women of the 50's. So why is Amanda re-satirizing the song out of context with the video. Even then it was pointed out that the song was a lament. So without the video you can't poke fun at someone grieving for an unrealistic life.
