+Ghordo M High mids at 50-70%, low mids at like 10%, bass at 40-50%, treble at somewhere around 60-70%. Then you've gotta compress with a ratio of 4:1, equalise with scooping the mids (so -12db or so on 300-500hz), then hi pass filter at 80-100hz, then boost at 1.5-3hz, you can boost at 800hz too for some more ping, but only a really small amount, like 3db. Then you're pretty much done, but I'd reduce some more around 600hz to get rid of a headachy sound. Oh and buy a stingray or P bass. I know all this cause the bass tone here's pretty similar to Mark's in the late dude ranch early enema era, like when he first got his prototype signature bass in around 98-99.And then once you've got all that done you've gotta send money to this guy really helpful cool guy called Hubbabubbly, and your bass will sound pretty fucking clean.

for me personally it's the sound on that album. The way everything sounded, guitars and drums and vocals mainly just wasn't cutting it. I listen to that album but it's definitely not my favorite album altogether.
