I agree. This performance is pretty, but it lingers & has a quite a few bum notes... her charm did shine through though. It's more sweet and laidback like Dionne rather than a powerhouse version.

I remember this performance years ago. Listening to it now it sounds ok but she did not deliver like maybe a Jennifer Hudson or Chrisete Michele would have. But they weren't around then anyway. Still a good performance though just didn't do it for me. Luther's cover by far was the best I heard of this song. In case you guys may not have known Dionne Warrick first recorded this song in 1964. Beautiful song. What happened to this kind of songwriting?
