He hammers on the Am7 (0-2 on Dstring). He hits the F with his thumb in Fmaj7 oh there's a Emajor7th thrown in there too after the chorus during the "keep your head above water, but don't forget to breathe" before he goes back to the verse. EMajor7th 02010x ( I don't feel he hits the high E here but you can if you want, since the Root is E anyway). I know that what I posted isn't 100% accurate (capo tuning?) but it's close enough and it sinks or swims on your own strumming/muting technique.

This song's a bit of a toughy to figure out without a lot of study. Note the capo on the 1st fret = alternate tuning. You can play something close without it. This is as close as I've come but I haven't spent a lot of time with it because I'd rather write my own music :) Palm muting technique! Am7: 002010 Dadd9 x04020 / x04025 (pulloffs) Fmaj7 103210 / 103010 (hammer on) (He doesn't play with the thumb on the low F but it adds depth) (chorus Am7 G6 Fmaj7 Csus2) G6: 320000 Csus2: 335533
