@JazmynShannon - oh you're quite welcome, I just hate to see people being critisized when vocally the performance was just fine and done quite well I may add. Like I said- I think what most of them are not used to hearing is a vocal track performed "DRY" with no reverb added to it....as all professional recordings/studio engineers add some slight reverb to the vocal track to give it more depth/life to the overall mix in relation to the backing instrument tracks. But a you're very good vocalist !

Unlikely since I am an opera singer with a major city opera company. As I recall when I recorded, your hired people are there for the money and to encourage you..NOT coach. Let it go please.

Actually guys Jazmyn is singing right on pitch- slightly different key- but on pitch. (Take from me I'm a musician) ...The only reason it may sound a bit strange to you people is because the vocals are dry...on recordings they always add a touch a reverb to spice up the vocals and give it more depth and emphashis in relation to the backing instrument tracks. Sounds just fine to me Jazmyn..Like what you did the "doubling effect"/ harmony on the vocal track.

@JazmynShannon You can sing but you chose the wrong song.Certain songs like "You Outta Know" by Alanis M., "Pissin' In A River" by Patti Smith,etc.,that are signature songs by artists w/very unique voices & popular 2 boot are best left alone.I don't think most pros can could do it justice.Try "I Do" by Edie Brickell(2 find just search4 Edie Brickell "I Do" &you'll find it on the top uploaded by norbeltape).I'd like2 here you do that song or your own.Thanx4not cursing me out,most would.
