Oh man, I remember Alana Davis and this song. As someone mentioned earlier, the 90's was one of the best eras of music. =-) I miss that era. Her entire album is PHENOMENAL and I would highly recommend it.

Alana Davis did a much better cover version than Ani Di Franco's original by giving it much more depth and emotional range.

This song was written by Ani Difranco after she heard some born again performers sing "Did Anne Frank find Jesus." at an open mic night.

This song reminds me of you +Michelle CS.... Especially where it's said "& God help you if you are a Phoenix & you dare to rise above the crowd...." Originally done by Ani DeFranco, but I love this version.... You are way more than 32 Flavors....

Seeing as this is the more definitive take on Ani DiFranco's song; that is like saying MFSB's version of "K-Jee" (originally by the Nite-Liters) is most well-known.

The Siren and I were watching some YouTube (can't start training music taste too early). At about the 2:33 mark in this Alana Davis video, she's singing to a little girl with wild, curly hair. The Siren (who refers to herself as "Baby") pointed at the girl and said, "Baby, baby!" Alana Davis - 32 Flavors
