I have heard that Alan Stivell's father single handedly revived the Celtic Language (Breizh, Brezhoneg?) in the Breton area of France, but I am not sure this is 100% true or not. I do know that his father was at least one of the more influential people in the revival of the language though, and it seems that Alan's mission has been the revival of Celtic music in general. He's definitely one of the greats.
