Britain's best crooner. Maybe the best crooner ever.

Does anyone know the guitar chords for this? It's a longshot but I'd rather not spend however long working it out by ear so if there's anybody who knows them that'd be great!

im in my early 20's and the best film of all time (Stanley Kubrick's 1980 film The Shining) brought me to him 10 years ago and i still just cant get enough of his music, thats probley why Stanley Kubrick had his music in the film so it would pull you back to it

Learning about his untimely death was heartbreaking. There is no doubt that, if he had survived the war, his fame would have spread much farther. Perhaps he would have gotten a chance at some movies. I watched two with Rudy Vallee. Al would've been perfect and would've raised the quality so much. Rudy seemed sweet, but he did not come anywhere close to Al's talent and charisma. What a lovely man he was! I wasn't surprised to read how popular he was with the ladies. He's definitely a heartthrob!

I'm in my early 60s. Till about a month ago, I hadn't heard of Al Bowlly. Then, I came across a song during a search for a post at a music forum. From the moment I heard him, all other crooners moved down one place so that a king could be crowned. They have wonderful style, but Al brings such emotion, so much feeling to the words. This is clear when I view the three "live" performances I've found. I must say this, too: So many of his songs bring tears to my eyes, yet he also is soothing.

One of my favourite Al Bowlly songs. Mysterious and yet also emotionally and visually evocative.
