You know, I'm a big fan of AF but those lyrics, WTF! Here in Brazil if you get mad about lower crime rates you would be like crucified. If my home city (Rio de Janeiro) became safer as NYC is now since the 80's, I wouldn't be mad at all, even if some of those old lifestyles are gone. (Sorry for the poor english)

I was an AF fan back in the eighties, but I can't relate to guys bitching about how crime has gone down, you don't have to worry about getting jacked and there aren't any drug dealers. I mean, you eventually grow up, right? When you get to an age where you have kids do you really want them to live in that environment? Aren't these the same guys who wrote about Bernie Ghetz killing some homeboys for constantly robbing him? I lived on the streets on DC and know that hardcore and punk are not what they were back then, and yeah, I miss how that breeds camaraderie, but I would rather have my kids and wife live in a safe environment and carry on my family then glorify idiots doing thuggish things.

Když jsem poprvé s Martinem Walter​em "zažil" neskutečný koncert Agnostic Front​, psal se tuším rok 1992 a kapela hrála společně s Born Against v Klubu 007 Strahov​. Neuvěřitelný projev za mikrofonem potetovaného Rogera Mireta a kytarové jump kreakce Vinnieho Stigmy, stejně jako celá show na "Sedmičce" je v mých očích a uších asi nedostižná a jen stěží překonatelná. Oba v kapele působí od jejích počátků v roce 1980 a AF lze zcela určitě řadit společně např. s Bad Brains​, Madball, Cro-Mags​ nebo Sick Of It All​ ke klasice newyorského hardcore 80. a 90.let. Tehdy kapela podporovala svou novou desku "One Voice" (Relativity Rec/Roadrunner, trio spoluhráčů z této doby Matt Henderson - kytara, Craig Setari - basa a Will Shepler - bicí už v kapele nepůsobí), která znamenala určitý odklon a posun oproti předchozím, neméně skvělým deskám 1984: Victim in Pain (1986), Cause for Alarm (1987) a Liberty and Justice for...(1987).I letošní léto bude kapela koncertovat v Evropě a v ČR (Brno, Fest Pod Parou​ nebo Basinfirefest) , kdy bude koncertním tour propagovat nové CD "The American Dream Died" (2015,Nuclear Blast), takže pokud jste "pionýry" hardcore metalu dlouho či snad vůbec nikdy life neviděli, rozhodně si je nenechte ujít!
