Thrash Metal is more aggressive than Speed Metal. Speed is closer traditional Heavy, but much faster. Speed Metal vocals are clean and Thrash vocals are harsh.11 years ago

Thrash and Speed as I recall were contemporaries of one another and for a brief time it looked like Speed would be the predominant form but the fact was there were more stone cold classic thrash albums than there were speed ones and so thrash won the day. And so we ended up with the operatic metal vocal style in decline and the rise of cookie monster vocals.13 years ago
