Oh I don't doubt that he did a great job of promoting AFI. But doesn't make his voice any more bearable. And I'd like to think non stop touring also helped build their fan base. Davey also did guest vocals on two Offspring albums. I still stand by my opinion that Dexter is a horrible singer and how bad their albums became around Americana.

All these guys were way too talented as musicians to stay in one genre for too long, can't blame em for branching out (because they could). Even as punk artists they were so far from average punk music.

Never thought I'd read "the offspring " and "better" in the same sentence. Dexter s vocals on Black Sails the worst part of the album. One of the most annoying voices in music.
