The work these guys do, IMHO, is the culmination of everything that the pioneers of metal were working toward for so many years. It isn't so ridiculously technical or brazenly full of throaty yawp-yelling that it puts off new listeners; but it isn't so simple that the potential of the melodies and harmonies are neglected either. Everything is executed with poise and measure, well-rounded and explores an inspiring range of pitch and timbre. It's beautiful and definitive. Thanks for all you're hard work, Affiance!11 years ago
