The first song i heared was "little black rocks in the sun", that just blew me away, their sound was so unique and capturing, so i went looking for more stuff and found the "avant hard" album, i loved every single track on it, no one sounded like them at the time it was released. It´s a real pity they broke up, but great things never last forever....nothing can replace analogue synth sound...

@TheVariable - Because people listen to what they are told to listen to. DJ's tell you what to listen to, friends tell you what to listen to, MTV tells you what to listen to, X-Factor tells you. I must confess the only reason I know of these guys is because a "DJ" played "Revenge of the Black Regent" in the middle of a wood just outside Winchester about 10 years ago. I picked a vinyl copy of this up in a record fair in Southampton. ;)

Love add n to x. Love Goldfrapp. Wasn't aware they were associated in any way till recently, but having listened to this again and The opening track from Goldfrapp's Black Cherry, it's quite clear they were greatly influenced by Shenton, Claydon and Smith.
