@whowantsabighug It's called an Aerial act, it's been done by performers for centuries, in addition, The Edison is a Victorian type club, including having burlesque shows. I AM sure about Gypsy Rose and her display of aerial prowess.

As partially said above, since they play with a backing track with drums and additional keyboards, their performances are usually pretty close to the original versions on the cd's.

The audio on this one is live audio from the show, as it is for most of my videos. The few exceptions from the Edison show were because Sleep Isabella and Airship Pirates were planned as constructed "music videos" rather than as "live performance" videos, and one other song because there was an audio problem during the recording. But take a look, every other AP video i've done, the Sodo sessions, C13 and the edwardian Ball, all contain the live recorded audio.

They are amazing live. The drum machine is a recorded track, I think, but you can really tell at the show that they are performing their best. They're definitely not lip-synching.

Maybe they're just as good live as they are while recording. Very few bands can pull this off and Abney Park is one of them.

As much as I love Abney Park, other than Captain Robert, they almost sound like they are just lip syncing. The songs sound EXACTLY like the cds...
