Agnetha versus BennyBjorn, regarding composing. ;)))

With this one, even if it had been her very early song, she swept B&B off the composing podium. I seriously think this one has elements of classical music (even if not too complicated a composition but that's where its beauty lies) and honestly, I think it is better than the great The Winner Takes It All. Musically and interpretation.. Call me crazy... :D

I completely agree...it is my fave Abba song of all. The emotive power of her voice shines through...

Amazing song. Agnetha's only ABBA co-write I think?

What an absolutely beautiful voice - range, emotion, joy, fragility. Incredible that this has not been recognized as a classic. .

I agree = she is a great composer as well. B&B urged her to compose more and maybe contribute to ABBA, but she said she had to raise his child (it was talked about at the time only Linda was around).

This is as good as any of the ABBA earlier songs. The main difference between their later and earlier songs are the arrangement and production values which became very lush and slick. Who knows, Agnetha if she had continued writing, could have produced songs just as amazing as the boys in later years. Many people forget that she is more than a singing magpie - she was also talented pianist and composer..

This is a very beautiful. Agnetha is a very talented composer as well as having a distinctive, lovely voice. I'm Still Alive is, like this, stunning in its simplicity. She was a talented pianist too, I understand. I think making comparisons between her song writing talents and Benny and Bjorn's is pointless. The "boys" were very talented and collaborated well. ABBA chose to sing in English and Agnetha's English is hesitant. She often looked to Frida for help with words in interviews.

Of course, but it has actually been penned by both Bjorn and Agnetha.

Did you know this is the only ABBA song penned by Agnetha??

It would have been pretty awesome! I don't understand why they didn't.

It is true for both Benny and Bjorn. It is hard to believe it but I hope he has learned to read music by now - it would be strange if he didn't. At the time of ABBA it seems that only Agnetha could read music because she had some regular music education.

Incredible! Is it true that Benny cannot read music? Not even now, having an orchestra?
