Great Song. Lost my son when he was 22. He was a Navy Corpsman, an American Hero and a son of the great state of Texas. He last request was this song to be played at his service.

Most everybody has never seen any emotions out of me. I generally kerp a straight face that people mistake as me being pissed, but you put this song on and a whole nother me comes out. Last year my uncle Jim passed away. He was a true cowboy to the core. He accepted me when I was doing stupid and crazy things abd was probably the most supportive man in my life. He'd always get a kick out of me breaking horses or getting ready for bull riding and was the person who finally convinced me to go to church. He was basically a best friend of mine. Then a month or so after I started attending the church he went to I found out he'd passed away from a heart attack. I honestly didn't think I could make that many tears. But, when I listen to this song I know he's up there cheering me on every time I climb on a bull or work horses. I love you uncle Jim. Keep a saddle ready for me would you please.

besides the not having a family part and the chewin' part this is my grandpa mike to a T. that man taught me more about the Lord than anyone and cared for me like i was his own grandson. fought 5 tours in vietnam, literally walked through hell on earth and back. came back home to his wife and accepted Christ into his heart. he is a tough old man that could probably still whip me in a fight if he wanted to. i never thought that much faith could fit into such a short man. i love him to death

This song always reminds me of my Grandfather, Russell Warren Pittser, who was a medic in the US Army in WW2....... He was in the South Pacific theater fighting the Japanese at the Battle for the Philippines, Iwo Jima, and many more!!! He was an American Hero in every sense of the word !!!

Dedicated to my friend Big Peter McShane. you were, are, and always will be my friend. you went to Burma, when the Army asked you to, God only knows what you went through out there, you never spoke of it. I will always remember your tattoos, and your advice to me on how to be a man.God rest you Peter
