Reminds me of early Yes but as a modern band.

Although this comment is only such I feel the grip of nostalgia crush and release. I am reminded of my depressed feelings in the cold Albertan winters sitting on top of a baseball backstop in Edmonton in the dead of many nights after drinking a mickey of vodka and staring into the stars letting the feelings of these harmonies beat me up and down and eventually over that masochistic void into this oblivion in which I now infinitely create! Thank you for flaming;)

"Yelling as hard as they canThe doubters all were stunnedHeard louder than a gunThe sounds they made was love". As I see my father struggling with cancer, these lines resonate, and the.way the music is played at this specific moment, and offer a sort of hope...... Although it may be in vain. The need to show that those doubters were wrong is what makes me confident to see the cancer through with my father. The wish to show that he has more fight in him than most will give him credit for

I never even saw them as psychedelic until recently. just beautiful and emotional

I sifted through some "top psychedelic songs" videos that had been posted. I'm very disappointed that people don't realize that psychedelic music didn't end in the seventies, and that some of the most critically-acclaimed bands of our generation are immensely psychedelic. I really wish this stuff was more mainstream, though. I'd like to live in a world where The Flaming Lips and Animal Collective are recognized for the geniuses they are.

(U)nfortunately I disag(R)ee with your viewpoint. Th(A)nkfully though we live in a society where one can have a viewpoint that is completely and totally wrong and have the right to said viewpoint..... (CUNT).

except a freddie mercury would be laughable in a band like the flaming lips. Wayne is a great fit, and without him there is no band

He never tried, nor claimed to be a good singer... That's kind of the point...

I'm only here trying, for the 100th time, to appreciate the Lips. The first song of the album is great, even with his vocals. But this song is just hysterical to me, I literally can't listen to it without laughing. I have to say Wayne's a self indulgent mess with songs like these. This sounds like a drunken karaoke disaster. If Wayne hid behind production and composition, and they found themselves a Freddie Mercury, this would be the greatest band of our generation.
