The 2nd album is the one that does it for me...Terry Kath's playing drives the songs..and "Ballet" is their all-time masterpiece.

Totally amazing, listening with tears, missing Terry... My father considered Chicago VII as their best album, but I'm pretty sure, Chicago V is their classical and the most amazing one

For me this is the best singing I have ever heard by Robert Lamm. And hearing what amazing sounds TK produced makes me realize how much music as a whole misses his great guitar playing.

This is the Chicago that I loved and was inspired by. I'm even more blown away by this music today than I was when I first bought the record in '72 when I was 15. It just keeps getting better!

Always loved this song..... Sounds like Prog-Rock... only with horns.... well, "Progressive" comes out from Jazz, since Yes had a "Jazz Lover", Bill Bruford, and Yes was one of the first Prog-Rock bands.... Chicago was born at the same time, but the horns give this song a touch of Jazz... Anyway, too much history to talk about, but just three words: I LOVE THIS!!!!

I bought this album as soon as it hit the stores. I loved Chicago when they had the original members;Danny, Robert, Terry, Peter, Lee, Jimmy, & Walter. After Terry died, I never bought another record. His guitar work was never matched by any of their subsequent guitarists, and I think he was a huge influence on the band's overall sound. Check out 'Dialogue' from this same album.
