This song always makes me so sad. I think that's why I like it so much. I still miss him to this day. I wonder what his next album would have been like if "From a Basement" is any indication of the direction that he was heading in?

Did anyone notice how he references evolution in this song? He talks about the "higher brain" and the "missing link". Wonder what he was thinking when he wrote this song. I was 25 when this album came out, my ex bought it for me. She had no idea she was unleashing the worst of me.
