I love love LOVE this song, it always make me think of my closest family and friends, and never fails to brings me to tears. It was spotlighted recently in performance on TV One's R&B Divas at a benefit for women's breast cancer, which I felt was such a beautiful tribute to Minnie's legacy in art, sickness, and health: unfortunately in true tv show fashion they focused on other aspects of the show instead of the beautiful performance by singer Chante Moore, who did an excellent job., btw I wished we would have had more of the song shown to introduce Minnie's music to younger generations, and to share that cancer is a battle that has been long fought by so many of our women, requiring our utmost devotion to spreading awareness and fighting the good fight against it. R.I.P. Minnie, one of our most beautiful songbirds and a true R&B Diva that will stand in her music infinitely....

Nashanta, I know exactly what you mean. I felt the same way. I was in my early teens when she died and I heard this song for the 1st time. You hear the plea and passion in her voice and performance - she must have known that her time on this earth was at an end. It brings me to tears when I hear this song - I felt as though I lost a friend back then.
