Wait, wait, wait...when did this become about whether Gamzee was a hero or not? I thought he was a just a psychotic maniac. In the sense of the game, everyone's a "hero", but if we define hero by being on the "good guy team", then no, I think Gamzee a chaotic neutral at best. And one Gamzee is serving Caliborn, I think.

You know, the artwork for this song reminds me of a dive to the heart from Kingdom Hearts. That's a scary thought, one of the players earning a keyblade. Since Dirk is a Prince of Heart, it'd probably be him. With his skills with a sword, nothing would be safe. Not to mention the fusion of fandoms. Eh, who am I kidding, it's probably already in a fanfic.P.S. Awesome song.

This whole hero argument is going in the wrong direction.I don't believe Archaic Consul is wrong in what s/he is saying. She is in no way "glorifying" Gamzee because shes a fan girl. (Fair enough I can't guarantee if s/he is a fan girl or not, but the reasons s/he used were clearly not trying to glorify him) You're acting like a "fangirl" getting defensive about a disliked character despite her valid reasons. I agree that the hole in her/his theory was that Gamzee didn't choose to overcome his "problem" but the outcome is still the same. He really did become a "hero" in the terms of Alternia's eyes.The word hero originated pretty much in a time where serving your country/king was considered being a hero so s/hes completely right. The king or the country wasn't always doing the right thing. So when you say all the stuff he was doing "wrong" to Terezi made him not a Hero, isn't right. I certainly wanted to punch the guy in the face with a chair ever since he changed as well.A general achieves a victory for his country and ends the war through a blood shed battle. Would that not be considered heroism? Especially in times when propaganda was high and to go against your country/king was to be an outcast?The general meaning of hero has been almost "romanticised" (Not really ignore my choice of word) in a way that now the Hero is considered one who fights for his people and does good act. Ironically its all the same in the end, Someone who represents their country honourably after overcoming personal trials.Though I do agree Roxy is a "better" hero in my view because like someone said, she chose to overcome her trials on her own. ...and in a human perspective she hasn't killed anyone and supports her friends despite being in an almost pitifuller love situation then Jane, Jake and Dirk think themselves to be in. But thats a rant- I mean subject for another time.My conclusion (I can't believe I actually posted this) is that her/his reasons were perfectly okay and she was in no way trying to glorify Gamzee and that he was what could be considered a hero in ALTERNIA. ALTERNIA. not earth 'hun. ALTERNIA as where trolls kill each other and its not shamed upon especially as you go up the hemospectrum.

In response to the "hero" conversation, I would like to define hero at its earliest roots: epic hero, one who overcomes personal problems in order to fit perfectly into society as a shining example of their country. Thus, from the trolls (barring ancestors) ONLY GAMZEE IS A HERO, as he overcomes his addiction to SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS become a subjugglator and go on a murderous rampage, just as Alternian society dictated. As far as the kids go, I would argue that none of them have yet overcome their distinct obstacles, and none of them are heroes. YET

No no, nothing stupid was said, don't worry :) Roxy is the most heroic because she's actually planning, attempting to get things going once in the game and going through character growth. Dirk is second, having gotten everyone in the game, but taking is merry time growing up and accepting himself for who he is

oh thank you very much, i didn't realy realice that nobels-heros-thing until now ^^ but what about dirk? he killed himself in order rescue his frinds, that is pretty heroic, isn't it? I can't remember roxy doing something similar, so why do you say that roxy is the most heroic? (hope i didn't ask someting stupid ^^)

He's a hero, as is everyone else from the beta session. The apha session refers to it's players as "Nobles" not heroes for reasons that aren't to hard to figure out, of which Roxy is the most heroic
