@morningxafter hell yea. i wrote a poem based on this, loosely, mainly on the line of the rivers/streams part, but still to the same rhythm. truly inspirational band.

been a fan of JCS for a long time, and this song is easily one of the most beautiful songs ever written. lyrically speaking, it's pure fucking poetry.

@boundbythebich well pretty much all of Bring Your Own Stereo was a bit calmer than the rest of their stuff. but their other good calm ones would probably be Pure, Waiting, Let's Get Flat, and maybe Fill in the Blank. if you like this sound of theirs though you should definitely look at BYOS. they touch on so many different sounds throughout the entire album from straight up alt rock to punk to post-grunge to jam band and even some rockabilly. one of my all-time favorite albums!

check out "waiting" or "smiling" Look up "Predictable" by Jarflys (that is one of Jimi's side projects. You can check out the MySpace page of "Irresistible Smell of Decay". It is another side project. And it is quite amazing. There is a song called "Pendulum's Stall" that is mind-blowing

This song is fucking amazing. I went and got a bunch of their other stuff but it all was wayyy too heavy. I was thinking this was a calm band, and granted I like heavier stuff, but it was a letdown :-/ anyone know any other calm songs by them??

bring your own stereo is very similar to the salmanilla envelope, it just has rocking and softer tracks and both are great. Re.present was even more mellow, but still great.

i remember Jimmies Chicken Shack from their 1st album and now i see this... very different. not sure how i fee about it yet... i was expecting a sound similar to Pushing The Salmanilla Envelope.
