While everyone associates this song with Snape now, I still think of Dumbledore. Everyone standing around while Harry cries over Dumbledore's lifeless, broken body. It breaks my heart <3 Dumbledore has always been my favourite character in the entire series. To see him die like that - it breaks me.

@Omer Ben Ari  Snape had always been in love with Lily, since they first met when they both were kids, even before Hogwarts. Because of it, Lily's Patronus became Snape's, so when Dumbledore sees Snape making the same Patronus Lily did, he understands how deeply Snape loved her. "After all this time?" means "Do you still love her deeply enough to make the same Patronus she made, after all this time?" and he replies that he will always love her.
