Superb solo from Eric. Like so many bands, I actually prefer this solo from Feel the Benefit when it's played live! (Although I like the studio version too.) The solo is melodic and has a logical sequence - it doesn't rely on what we call "widdle" (!) or the superfluous exercise-like patterns played by all too many guitarists. Nice tone too - like the way he switches to the bridge pick-up for more bite towards the middle!Another thing: Eric does not make faces when he plays. I think that way too many guitarists grimace which is not only ugly but rather embarrassing and distracting! (Anyway, he's got such a good face he wouldn't want to make a sight of himself!)Such great music - I'd love to see the entire concert. Does anyone know where I could get it? Anyway, thanks very much for the upload, Matthew!

Matthew I bet you wore that cassette tape out! Ah I miss 10cc, well 10cc with Eric Stewart anyway regardless of how good the line up now sounds they can't ever be as magical as how they sounded with Eric on lead vocals.

I could watch Eric play this over and over (and usually do!) sublime solo. Wish I had a dvd copy of the whole performance - Thanks for posting Matthew. Mike G - Eric was recently asked to be a special guest at the MPG Awards (Music Producers Guild) held in London on the 13th Feb . He made a very rare appearance and I believe performed 'I'm not in love'.It was the first time in many years that he and Lol Creme had appeared on stage together - Lol is of course a member of 'The Producers' along with Trevor Horn, Stephen Lipson and Ash Sloan. Trevor was receiving a special recognition award. Wish I had been there - such a great privilege to see and hear Eric Stewart perform live! - Hope those that were lucky enough to be there appreciated that fact!If only he would do a few more 'rare appearances' instead of spending his time drinking good french wine and watching F1 ;-)

What i heard is that it is very difficult for Eric to play guitar because of his disease. What exactly is wrong only Eric can tell. Rumours. ...in the 10cc fan scene...

There is a video cassette available of the concert. It is called '10cc Live at the International Music Show'. It is time this was released on DVD. Come on production companies get this released.

Mathew Is this all the footage you have of the concert. I agree with the comment, that someone has made about the originals should get back together. Eric if you read this please take this into consideration. One of the DVD covers I have mentioned below has a graphic on the front of the originals, but it is the Japan concert again. Neither Godley of Crème appear in the concert. I have heard today, that Eric may have played some concerts supporting other artists such as Paul McCartney.

All that is available at the moment is the Japan Concert. But be aware this available with various different designs of cover, and people looking to buy these should be aware that it is the same concert. I honestly cannot understand what the problem is when there must be so much of the band available in the archives. Why do the have to keep releasing the same concert. If anyone knows how Eric is today, please add a comment to this site to let his fans know how he is. We would like to know.

Further to the comment below, I wish people around the world would pester company's such as ITV and the BBC for more of their concerts to be released on DVD. Especially from the early days. This will give the people of this world the opportunity to see a real group of musicians at work. Eric is an incredible man, and I just want to say that in all the years that I have followed and admired him, I had no idea of the accident he had in which he lost his left eye. I am so sorry to hear this.
