After the split from Best selling Group Destiny's Child, LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson began auditioning young women for a new female R&B quartet. Naty (Nativida) Quinones and Tiffany Beaudoin made the cut. The group, Anjel, recorded a 22 song demo in Atlanta with the help of Jagged Edge. Unfortunately the production company which handled the group fell through and all the girls from Anjel went their separate ways. The label was 581 Entertainment, ran by Jagged Edge, under So So Def while it was still under Columbia. The Group never released an album. They split up in 2003 before actually recording a full album.
LYRICS:
[Verse 1: LaTavia]
First off I'm gonna let you know
This ain't that type of situation
Here I been now, 2, 3
4 never even been replaced 'cause
I'm gonna value of the depressents I got
I'm gonna be the women from day one, and that's not
That's not up for 'preciations
Or them kinds of conversations
I'm just tryin' to live my life
Can't go without them confrontations
A problem, yes that's just what we've got
If you think I'm a back-door-type-of-girl, I'm not (ooh, ooh)
[Chorus: Anjel]
No, it ain't my style
I can't wait around and be an after-thought
While you just run around
Doin' Lord knows what with Lord knows who
I know it ain't just business, baby
All the time
And it ain't my style
To be playin' around while you be runnin' all around town
And all I can think is
You're doin' Lord knows what with Lord knows who
I know it ain't all business, baby
And it ain't my style
[Verse 2: LeToya]
[? ] that you would come around and have a little more patience
And now I'm at the point where I'm just tired of waitin'
'Cause after everything I've put into this (to this)
In return they only think
All I wanted was for you take some time
And fit me in your busy schedule
That means takin' me out and
Makin' me feel like someone special
And remind me of how much you care
I'm not about to sit at home while you do you're thing
[Chorus: Anjel]
No, it ain't my style
I can't wait around and be an after-thought
While you just run around
Doin' Lord knows what with Lord knows who
I know it ain't just business, baby
All the time
And it ain't my style
To be playin' around while you be runnin' all around town
And all I can think is
You're doin' Lord knows what with Lord knows who
I know it ain't all business, baby
And it ain't my style, no
[Chorus: Anjel]
No, it ain't my style
I can't wait around and be an after-thought
While you just run around
Doin' Lord knows what with Lord knows who
I know it ain't just business, baby
All the time
And it ain't my style
To be playin' around while you be runnin' all around town
And all I can think is
You're doin' Lord knows what with Lord knows who
I know it ain't all business, baby
And it ain't my style
[Anjel:]
No, it ain't my style
I can't wait around and be an after-thought
While you just run around
Doin' Lord knows what with Lord knows who
I know it ain't just business, baby
All the time
And it ain't my style
To be playin' around while you be runnin' all around town
And all I can think is
You're doin' Lord knows what with Lord knows who
I know it ain't all business, baby
And it ain't my style
