Im a 49 yr old guy who LOVES Gilmore Girls, its the best written and deepest character developed show in a long while. . BUT it pains me that so many of you " children " in here miss the fact that songs like " my little corner " were WRITTEN and recorded in the 50's and 60's - THIS One was a big hit for eddy Arnold and then ion early 70's was a major hit for Marie Osmond. . BUT the newer generations seem to think no music before 1990 has any worth . . I'm HERE TO TELL YOU that no matter which " era " music comes from there is good and bad , Quality of music has ZERO to do with when it was written/recorded.

I won't wade into a discussion of "Gilmore Girls"...did enough of that ten years ago...but I'll discuss this song anytime. This is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written. Ever. It ranks up there with Talking Heads' This Must Be the Place' and and Barber's Adagio for Strings and the entire side two of "Abbey Road." The first time I heard this song, I imagined singing it to a baby and I started crying.

There's a video on Youtube somewhere where both of them are reunited and are interviewed outdoors. They say it was down to money. On TWOP forums, somebody asked a bloke on one of the WB set tours and he said it was "the younger one" who wanted more money.

I read some where that they both decided ( Alexis and Lauren) that they didn't want an 8th season. However the 7th season was suppost to be the last season anyway. It probably would have ended differently if the creator of the show had been involved in the writing.
