INCORRECT! Indian labourers were not "slaves", they were indentured labourers and most of them chose to come to the West Indies. You are also wrong, indian labourers came to Trinidad, Guyana, Suriname in the majority but notable amount went to Jamaica, Grenada, St.Vincent, St. Lucia and even greater numbers went to Guadeloupe and some to Martinique. So please know what you are saying before you make comments as fact. NOW back to the music.

Well, Its trinidad and not Jamaica. Indians were brought to Trinidad, Guyana and Surinam as slaves. Just like the black people. They were also slaves. These singers are the descendants of those indian slaves. Thats why there is a connection
