Man, I listened to this song yesterday afternoon for the first time. It has played non-stop in my head -- it was hard to get to sleep last night. Freaking amazing. It reminds me of Pink Triangle a lot; particularly the chorus of this song reminds me of the guitar solo of Pink Triangle. Also, if I can go out on a limb a ways, does this bring back to the heart a little bit of "Anthony's Song/Movin' Out" to anyone else? That rhythm/tempo and the tragic, operatic, anthemic melodies.8 years ago

Music: Freaking amazing. Pinkerton goosebumps, everywhere, all track long. Soft, dark chords, melody darker and softer yet.Lyrics: Don't like 'em. Don't like drug references. I'm not saying the old "Don't encourage kids with drug references!" line. Forget the kids -- I'm 26, I've never done drugs, I never will, and I just don't like hearing about it myself. There is nearly nothing Pinkerton-esque about this song, I don't know what you're losing your minds at. Production is too clean, the vocals are as weak and delicate as they were in EWBAITE and the chorus is bland and unamusing. The guitar work is slightly reminiscent of Pink Triangle and Falling for You, sans the palm muting, but... that's it.Look, I like Weezer as much as the next guy but you're delusional if you think they're beginning to sound like they did in their better days.8 years ago
