It's ridiculous to see that a inacurate show about the vikings have gained popularity and now everyone is so hyped on being a "viking". 90% of the comments are unintelligent people who saw some action-filled scenes with viking warriors in, thought it looked badass and suddently have to mention that they miiiiight have some scandinavian heritage. People go like "boohoo I'm scandinavian, but also half English :(((" well calm the fuck down, Vikings where Europeans too, you ARE also infact European unless your skin colour, your history or heritage is telling you something else. And non-European people calling themselves Vikings? Please...Focus on finding YOUR culture, YOUR religion and not one your roots are not in.

I always find it hilarious that the vikings were one of the more metropolitan civilisations during their time period, albeit in a trader basis and an acceptance of other cultures in their freeholds, but everyone seems to think now that they only stood for national pride and pseudo racist might. Forget the fact that they had better rights for women than any other civilisation would have until the 20th century, and that, while they did have a slave culture, a freedman had the same rights as any person born "free", which, again, wouldnt be seen again until the late 19th century at the earliest. But no, the vikings were just rapin' racists, whatever justifies your own ignorance i suppose
