I don't think he'd like a suicide anniversary party.... I think he'd like like a "Play my stuff to death until everyone got sick of it party" instead. You say "Bi-polar" really? He told me he was HIV + from haring needles to kill the pain from the accident that put him in that chair in the first place. I use to crab at him when he placed me on stage from time to time and told me his throat hurt, bring him some water and sing his next song for him. I wish I understood more clear as a kid... why.?

I saw him at Schuba's several years ago in Chicago and he asked us for a joint at the end. Someone gave him one. He was fantastic.

I am having my Vic suicide anniversary wake two days late. . "Independence Day" was from his first album "Little" and it was his best suicide song or the story of a complete life. "Little" laid his shit out and he had to want follow it with a work that laid it all out. again but better-It haunts every great artist.. Being bi-polar is a bitch especially in wheelchair. The later songs were hit an miss and it frustrated him.

@skyseye Tell me more, I've never heard of him, so many greats apparently do "small roles" in movies. And many of us don't know who they are until after their passing. Example;"Roadhouse" Blind Guitarist, Jeff Healey, Dies Jeff Healey, the blind guitarist whose band was showcased in the Patrick Swayze movie "Roadhouse," died Sunday, March 2, of lung cancer. Healey was 41.

@Msbookie: I'd like to update the cause of death unofficially as "tired of fuckin' with life". I have the upmost respect for Vic and his fans, he is a testament for how much feeling an artist should put forth in their work. This video makes me sad, but the work as a whole shows his humanity and a path in life that is largely unselfish,. I wish more people could put them selves out there the way he has.
