I remember as a child watching them on this Ed Sullivan episode in an old rerun on VH1 & being blown away by just beautiful & stylish they were here (I think admiring Diana's dress & hair was the first point I realised I was gay. Or maybe it was fancying the monk in Monkey who turned out to be a woman in real life...) Diana, in my opinion, never more beautiful than this episode (even with her hair & earring trying to upstage her) I wish someone would give them the credit they're due & appreciate that their television performances were just as groundbreaking as The Beatles, and release them all on blu-ray, rather than re-releasing the same old clips.

I wish they'd just make all The Diana Ross & The Supremes performances from the Ed Sullivan show available for purchase. You can buy practically every performance The Beatles ever did, yet we just get the same clips released for Diana Ross.

This is priceless! I love when Diana sings with that effortless, passionate, & melodic soul. The Supremes with Diana as lead was the MAGIC formula. Mary & Flo did a great job, but whoever was in that background during the changes were great too. The Supremes were just great! Period! For all these people with that smart mouth about Flo this & Flo that, maybe if they would have put their money where their mouth was like Berry did, her album would have sold after she left the Supremes. Why try to tell Berry how to conduct his business when THROUGH HIS LEADERSHIP DIANA, AS LEAD, WAS ABLE TO transform a genre of music, create a distinct TRADEMARK sound, & change how Black Americans were perceived as artists.

I'mma tell you what. I Hear a Symphony was just NOT the same without Flo. Not really here to bash, but it sucks that this MAGIC was replaced by the everyday sounds of the Adantes. The formula of Diana, Mary, and Flo was UNTOUCHABLE!
