This type of music is mixed with programs called trackers, on solstice nights, when the planets correctly align and certain phases of the moon shine clear. Of course, I didn't mean I thought this was simple. It isn't at all. It's been hard for me to get into Venetian Snares and breakcore in general, but now I can fully enjoy it. That has also happened to me with other genres (grindcore, noise...). Success is relative, though. VS is known in its "scene", but not many people will know about it.

Simplicity is great but I think this sound is actually a bit too "busy". I can definitely see why it's successful though.

While I somewhat agree and there's truth in what you're saying... what is the purpose of music if it isn't to entertain and transmit feelings? Just being technical or a skilled musician? You don't need complexity or to be a great musician to make great music. There's beauty in simplicity, too.
