Yes, French, much admired by the late Serge Gainsbourgh. (Not crazy about him but great visual artist, hard life, very valid for what he did, very.) Ms. Paradis was married a long time to Johnny Depp, with whom I share a birthday. I heard her in May live on French radio & it was so good I couldn't believe it was live. Much to say and very interesting. A pop artist not taken seriously by many. Of course, most of her recordings (that I've heard) are in French. Glad you like this!

Was pleasantly surprised to hear her on French radio in May, '13 on a thoughtful, quality station (there are still a few here) talking a little & performing live, many numbers. Really strong chops with a highly personal and thoughtful original song sticks in my mind. Nothing she'd done really stuck with me ever so it was good to hear there really is a lot to her. Chapeau!

Shared, uprated. Terribly, terribly sad & very well done. A good interpretation of a moving song by quite an overlooked artist. Spookily prescient for Ms. Paradis, who likely felt this one very deeply at that time.
