Urge Overkill is an alternative rock band, formed in Chicago, United States. Nash Kato (vocals/guitar), and Eddie "King" Roeser (vocals/guitar/bass guitar). Their cover of Neil Diamond's song "Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon" appeared prominently in the movie Pulp Fiction, and became a hit in 1994. "Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon" was written by Neil Diamond and his recording of it was a Top 10 hit during the Spring of 1967. As so often happens in this day and time, earlier hits (prior to the advent of MTV) get a "second life" of some sort once they are used in some visual and/or dramatic fashion. In this case the song was featured in the hit 1994 film "Pulp Fiction"

this is a song I could really slam and mosh to but I don't think the rest of the audience would appreciate me bumping into them.

Oh man, this reminds me why I was head over heels for this band's music. Nash is outstanding and the obvious face but, I love Eddie's writing, the man is just such the soul of Urge. The fact that people still hang out and dis them just brings it all back. They might have got waylayed but, they were on to something. Sort of awesome they never really caught hold of it but, we knew it, saw it and here it still is.

Ok, I'll act my age. I'll get a guy with 4 chins and we'll do really bad pseudo rock for an audience of over-weight wanna-bees like you. :P :P :P

I heard they are chaning their name to Rogaine. Is there any hope for receding hairlines? Ask Nash Geographic. Were they living off their trust funds these past few years?

@hanskristoffkarl Damn, I just got back from Milwaukee a couple days ago. Too bad I missed 'em. This song is killer. So good to see/hear them again. All was not lost. Scored a vintage guitar while I was back. Anyone know how long they've been playing P90's? Very good sound for them.
